Hod do I remove page borders and hide the "number of pages" display on Microsoft Word 2008?
I want the layout of my Word documents to look a bit like TextEdit or Editpad--no divisions into pages, and no display where I can see how many pages I've typed. I'd like to keep the rest of the formatting, though, like font and font size, italics, etc. I just really want to get rid of the aspects that tell me how many pages there are because I find that, whenever I'm writing school papers, I keep glancing at how many pages I've written so I usually end up just doing the minimum page requirement instead of really focusing on the content. Anybody know how to do this on Word? Or does anybody know what other software compatible with Mac is able to do this and save the document as a .doc or .rtf file?
Yes I'm currently using draft view but a blue line always appears to indicate the division between pages. Anybody know how to get rid of the blue line?
You've already answered part of your question on your own. TextEdit does not display the blue line break between pages.
In Word, you can turn off live word count and/or the entire status bar by going to Word Preferences. On the View tab uncheck the boxes for Status Bar and/or Live Word Count in the Window section of the dialog.
