The HTC Hero which is also known as T- Mobile G2 touch in the UK, Germany, Austria, Croatia, The Netherlands, and Hungary is known as Era G2 Touch in Poland. It is a part of the A series Android phone manufactured by HTC Corporation. It is HTC’s third handset to be powered by the android operating system. The HTC Hero has the signature curve at the lower end and has a sleek and stylish body that measures 4.4 inch in length, 2.2 inch in breadth and 0.5 inch in width. Moreover, it features a 3.2 inch HVGA (Half Video Graphics Array) touch screen with an anti fingerprint screen coating. However, the highlight of the phone lies underneath all this beauty.
The new Sense UI technology allows the customization of the device according to the customer’s needs and gives them more access to all the information at a glance via features like customized profiles, condensed view of all communications with a specific contact whether in the form of e-mail or text messages or multimedia messages, Facebook status updates and so on.
Other significant focal points of the smartphone is the GPS, a digital compass, gravity sensor, a 5 megapixel camera, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD expansion slot. It also has a search button committed to allow more contextual search that not only includes looking through the contact lists or emails but also Twitter and other areas of the device. It is available in seven different color styles including black, white, yellow, pink, gold, red and turquoise. The web browser includes Flash support and multi-touch. E-mail support includes IMAP4, POP3 and Microsoft Exchange Server.

Similarly, features like ringer volume, GPS radio and various other features can be customized. Aloqa is another application that scans your local area and gives you prompt information on the happening events and programs in your locality like parties, launching restaurants and so on. It acts like your interactive pocket directory. You also have a Splash Play which is virtual guitar interface. Lets you experiment your musical skills at your own will. Cardio Trainer, as the name suggest, is a health and fitness application for your HTC. It gives you information on all your fitness related parameters. Other applications also available are Pandora, which is a music streaming application and Mobile Defense Android, which helps you trace your mobile in instances of lost phones.

LG Electronics has rolled out its Xnote MINI, which is a new 10-inch netbook that is available in pink, white and black. The Xnote Mini should be called a netbook instead, if we are to judge it by the few specs and details available about the netbook. Actually, the Xnote Mini's Intel Atom processor gave away the fact that it is really a netbook. We all know, of course, that most netbooks in the market are powered by the processor. Adding to 160GB hard disk drive, 1GB DDR2 memory and a 10-inch LCD display with WSVGA (1024 x 600) resolution and LED backlight. Weighing 1.19kg, it is powered by Microsoft Windows XP operating system. Other features include a 1.3M webcam, 4-in-1 memory slot, 54Mbps wireless LAN and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. The LG 10-inch Xnote MINI netbook is priced at 699,000 Korean Won.

LG's Xnote Mini has been announced in Korea, and just like every other netbook, the specifications rarely differ from one another. Inside this you will find :-
* Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor
* 160GB hard drive
* 1.3 megapixel camera
* 10" LCD display
Strangely enough, this model lacks a front camera for video calling capability, while it also misses out on GPS navigation which is fast becoming a standard feature on new handsets. The Sony Ericsson Kate is tipped to roll out this October for approximately 300 Euros $(450).
