You can get Microsoft Dynamics GP Great Plains licenses through GP certified Partner channel. Each GP reseller carries certified technical and functional consultants to be in the program. Microsoft Certified Master program certification or MCM as it commonly known is a high level technical certification from Microsoft which certifies the technical expertise and skills of senior level experienced IT professionals on various Microsoft server products, and also it serves as the pre-requisite for the Architect series of certifications. Currently there are five variations to the Microsoft certified master certifications which are: Microsoft Exchange server 2007, Microsoft SQL server 2008, Windows server 2008, Microsoft office share point server 2007 and lastly Microsoft office communications server 2007. This program is quite a new program from Microsoft, especially meant for seasoned IT professionals having skills on Microsoft server technologies. The curriculum of Microsoft certified master is entirely an experience based curriculum consisting of high level class room training and practical sessions. The instructors themselves are certified instructors for this program and the curriculum is presented by those instructors along with collaboration with partner organizations who bring upon real world scenarios to ensure that the student get to learn the most out of the sessions. The training program is a highly intensive one, which continues till three weeks. Three CBTs or computer based tests and one lab based exam are part of the training. The instructors employ their years of experience and expertise to design 300 and 400 level classroom training and lab scenarios, each of which provides a simple approach of learning by doing for the students. In addition to that, each of the certification tracks would need a lab based test as a copestone for the certification. Building a solution out of the given requirements and then troubleshooting the same solution is the main area of focus here
It should also be noted that Microsoft certified master is not for everyone, there is a difference between MCITP and MCM, because of the depth of understanding needed in a particular area; it’s just too deep.
