How to install Aion: The Tower of Eternity

I wrote this guide because while the download and installation of Aion: The Tower Lord, I found with some hooks. So for anyone who comes after me and has the same questions as this acts as the magic pill.

Who is this guide:

This guide is mainly for pre-release (Beta) and anyone who has bought the game through the official store of NCSoft. For those of you who were lucky enough to have the option to purchase the game via the official sponsor of NCSoft, such as Amazon and Gamestop, you will receive a copy of the game in two DVDs when it is officially released.

The Guide:

- First buy Aion (shock?) If you have not done so NCSoft is having a promotion for pre-order: if Aion Pre-order from anywhere in these Amazon, Gamestop, or your guests automatically NCSoft all beta.

- Once the game is bought to register for an account of NCSoft, if you have not already and access. You have an option to use a code activation or serial number, so that application code ("Use a Serial Code") and create a game account. Once everything is ready give you a link to download the client.

- Double click on the client Aion to begin the download / installation (quick note: the customer acts as an installer, actually downloads and installs the whole game for you. So if you uninstall the game you have to download the whole thing again!)

- Here's the trick really There are two parts to download first part is about 5 GB 5000MB and the second part is 7 GB. You might think the whole game is 12 GB but in reality it is only 8 GB great I have no idea why.

Once the patch download finishes first must run the NCSoft release, then click the small arrow in Aion sheet, and both run for updates and repairs (Consistency) Ensure that should start to download part of the second.

- Now that you've installed the game before we can run and play the game, you have to make sure you have DirectX 9.0c (June 2008) or higher, the game does not work without it. You can download the latest update of DirectX on Microsoft's website

How the client backup of your game

I found this when I realized the game is more than 5 GB and would take forever to download. Some friends of mine have pre-ordered the game, and we found realize why download the game more than once that a lot of wasted bandwidth. So we decided that one of us is going to download the game and we will copy and install it.

Here's How:

- First copy the entire folder of NCSoft. You should have two folders in the same launcher and Aion. If you have other NCSoft games like Lineage 2 or Guildwars, I imagine it would also leave them alone. Now the game is big enough you can do what I did that is to use a 30GB video iPod to upload the files or use a dual-layer recordable DVD can hold about 8 GB of data. Now the game is backup.

- To re-install the game in the future all you have to do is copy and paste the entire folder of NCSoft to any that you like on your computer by default (C: Files NCSoft program) but you can put anywhere you want.

- Once the entire folder has been copied to your computer go to the folder NCSoft-> Launcher and run the launcher.

- Now the pitcher does not recognize the game as installed, here's what you do.

1. Click the small arrow on the plug Aion

2. Click Properties and a new window will popup called Aion Properties.

3. Install, click Locations navigate.

4. Find Aion.bin should be (yourpathNCSoftAionbin32AION.bin) yourpath * is where you put your folder NCsoft!

5. Click Open, click OK in Aion properties window.

6. Finally, below the arrow again click Repair (Consistency Check) should take about 10-15min depending on the speed of your computer. Now you can run the game or check for any new updates!
