Highlighting one of its new features, Google introduced a background image on Google.com--but it seems users aren't pleased with the new look.

"Remove Google background image" soared to the number 2 spot on Google trends, and the Huffington Post has received emails from readers eager to remove the background image that is appearing, by default, on Google's homepage.

One user wrote on the Google help forum, "I'm boycotting Google until this cr*p gets fixed. Who's the genius who came up with this idea to copy Bing WITHOUT giving the user an option to NOT have a background image? So fired." Another said, "It is frustrating to have that as a background... more frustrating is that it can't be removed/disabled..."

Microsoft even called out Google's copycat homepage--which, with its photo background, looks strikingly like Bing's--via Twitter. As ABC's World Newser noted, someone tweeted on Microsoft Europe's official twitter feed, "We've lost a background image, if found please return to bing.com "

If you've added a custom Google background image and want to get rid of it, click "Remove background image," which should appear at the bottom left hand corner of Google.com.

If, however, you're just hoping to restore Google to its plain white background, you may have to wait until tomorrow--as with Google Doodles, the unusual Google background image may just be a temporary, one-day change. can you help me with microsoft word?

I have done a really cool design in microsoft word using word art
it has a black background but I cant print the black background
only the actual design comes out
i have tried moving it to paint but it loses quality how do i print background colour please help me

agreed! doing anything creatively visual for drawing or painting in MS word is just asking for trouble! Best to use Photoshop, or the free GIMP software.

How to add Desktop Background File Location to Windows 7 Desktop Context Menu

The wall papers or the pictures you want to use for this purpose can be obtained from the collection of pictures you have stored in your computer and also from the default themes folder. You can also add your favorite pictures to this themes folder by manually navigating to the themes settings and open the themes folder. A simple registry hacking script can enable the users in opening the wallpaper folder directly by right-clicking on the desktop. The script adds the option of changing desktop wall paper in the desktop context menu and when you select this option, the script will open the target folder of the current wallpaper and you can select the desired wall papers for your desktop. The following steps should assist you in creating and using this amazing script used only in a Windows 7 environment.

To use the script, first download it from the above mentioned website and extract the same. Save the file named WPTargetDir.vbs present in a zipped format to the windows folder under the system drive (C:windows in most cases) after obtaining the required authentication to copy files in it. Open the windows folder and then open the registry file Add.reg to add the additional option in the desktop context menu. Please make sure you have taken a proper backup before you perform the modification in the registry file. Now, keep holding the shift key and right click on the empty area of the desktop which will present you with desktop background file location option from where you can select the background pictures you want to rotate. This script also helps those with innumerous wallpapers for a particular theme. When selecting this option it will open the folder containing wall papers and chooses the current wall paper.

Desktop background slideshow feature is a neat feature offered by Windows 7 and it helps in reshuffling the background of your desktop from the folder where you have stored your image files at a prescribed interval. But, as we know, windows does not display the name of the current wallpaper, it becomes very difficult to find the file name and the location of the current wall paper in case you have thousands of image files to choose from. In order to uninstall or remove this downloaded script file, all you need to do is to run the file named undo.reg and you can delete the WPTargetDir.vbs file manually from Windows folder. The said script queries wall paper source file name from a registry key which is as follows:

HKEY_ CURRENT_ USER SOFTWARE MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER DESKTOP GENERAL

This information is saved in a string value which is called Wallpaper Source. It is not recommended to edit registry unless you are confident enough. Otherwise, seek a computer tech support.

Another shortcut to achieve this is right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "personalize" option. From here navigate to desktop backgrounds and choose as many wall papers as you want. You can also choose your own folder containing pictures stored by you. After selecting the wallpapers, just right click on the desktop and choose Next desktop background picture option to set the next picture as the wallpaper.
