How can I fix the settings as to use the "javac" and "java" commands to complie/run .Java files on MS DOS?
I really need to know how to complie and run .Java files, so I need a brief instruction on how to fix the settings on my PC for the first time to make the "Javac" and "Java" commands valid on MS DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System).
Create a .bat file. Something called setjava5.bat. In this file enter these two commands:
set path=C:Program FilesJava50bin;%path%
set classpath=C:Program FilesJava50jrelib;%classpath%
now C:Program FilesJava50 is where you installed java. Then open a command prompt, run this batch file and then you should be able to use javac and java.
