easy internet question...help is appreciated?

my internet explored lets me login to facebook but wont open it. and mozilla freezes up when i use facebook chat. i just downloaded the new mozilla and it still freezes. anyone know i good internet i could use to help solve this problem? also i have microsoft windows 2003 so idk if i can download any new ones unless also there is a way i can download windows xp or windows vista for free?
