Lotus Notes vs Office?
Hello,
In the late 80s I was using Lotus 123 and then Symphony. Since then I moved to Excel, Word and Outlook. I thought that Lotus Notes was dead but apparently it was bought by IBM and is still actively used. Is it a competitor to Microsoft Office for an active individual or small business user? Any site that compares the two? And are documents compatible between them?
Many thanks
Yes it is competes in the same office productivity space as MS Office.

Also note:
Corel, Star Office, and some on-line google Apps also work in this space although to a much lesser degree.
Documents are importable between the two, that is to say you can convert from one to the other on basic functinoality, but if you actively use macros and embeded code you will be in for some trouble as the code will not work.
