Microsoft Office Word mini-device?

I was wondering if there's such a thing as a Microsoft Office Word mini-device?

Something small like a phone of a little bit bigger, but only capable of opening word and/or notepad or something?

If anyone has a name of such a thing I'd appreciate it a LOT!

I'm an aspiring author and can't always write on my computer since it's so huge and it's not portable (I do not want a laptop) and I want to write on the go or where ever I am at any moment.

Any windows mobile device can open and edit word documents, as well as excel.

Look for a windows mobile smart phone or PDA.

You can usually get a Bluetooth fold up keyboard as well so that you can have a full size (or near full size) portable keyboard. HTC makes a large number of really good Windows Mobile phones, some with keyboard, some without. Many of these are carried by major carriers like Verizon or ATT.

I've also used ASUS pda's in the past. These will sometimes have bigger screens, but you don't have the phone connectivity build in obviously. HP's ipaq like is also a good PDA product.

EDIT: If you don't want a new phone, then take a good look at PDAs. I used an ASUS a696 for a while and REALLY loved the device. Very strong, and durable. Has BT, WiFi, and GPS built in. You can expand up to 16 gigs with an SD card. Nice big screen. And of course, you don't have to pay for a monthly plan or anything with it. I think Targus makes a decent BT keyboard you can use with it too.

The only reason I moved to a smartphone was because I didn't want to carry two devices on me all the time, but I do still use the ASUS for a bike computer when I go biking. The GPS works great for that, but I can listen to music as well.
