Recover Data OST to PST in the Event of Microsoft Exchange Server Mailbox Deletion
OST File as Data Savior: OST or Offline Folder files are basically viewed as the replicas of Server-based Exchange Mailbox folders. Now, imagine a situation where your mailbox gets deleted from the Exchange Server. What will you do in this circumstance? In this scenario, it is obvious that your mailbox data is lost. However, the optimism will take you towards the OST files, which would be still there. Again, you face another issue of accessing your OST file, which you might not know how to view.
Scenarios where OST Data Loss is Ascertained: If the original Exchange profile had been deleted or altered (by the creation of a new or different mailbox), then you are likely to lose OST data. More unfortunate is the scenario when you have altered your Exchange profile to a point to where you formed a new mailbox; because, at that time, all your email information stored in OST file will be lost permanently.
Ray of Hope – Export OST Database to PST: However, if you have not changed your original Exchange profile, then there are chances that you will be able to access your Exchange client (Outlook) in the offline mode with your old OST file. This way, you can easily <a href="http://www.convertost.org/recover-data-ost-to-pst.html">recover data OST to PST</a>.
Strict Security of the OST File: The Offline Folder files or the OST files are organized with strict security, due to which, you cannot use the Windows NT authentication to work offline. Hence, for accessing your OST data, you have to confirm that you posses the authentication for logging onto your Server-based Microsoft Exchange mailbox before you obtain the access to your OST. Now, for this, Exchange Server basically forms an encrypted ‘cookie' from the unique entry ID of your mailbox while you log on to the Server computer successfully. The cookie so created by the Exchange Server is stored in your profile and your profile basically saves this key for OST. Concerning to this fact, the OST finds out and checks the existence of this key every time you attempt to access that OST file.
What Happens When You Alter Your Profile? Now, considering the above-talked scenario where you modify your profile or attempt to connect with a new mailbox or try to work on the present profile but on some new network, then the Exchange Server replaces the key with the new value taken from the mailbox that is created. This causes inaccessibility of data contained in the OST, which was previously created with the older mailbox.
OST to PST Recovery Tool: What would be your plan of action is you find out that you just lost some very critical email data information due to the alteration of your Exchange Server mailbox? Searching a third party OST to Outlook conversion tool is a way to regain access to your OST data. Such <a href="http://www.convertost.org/file/">OST to PST recovery tools</a> are devised to transfer your data saved in OST files to Outlook PST format, so that the OST data inaccessible before becomes accessible again in Outlook PST files. One such tool is SysTools OST Recovery software, which helps you to recover data OST to PST easily. Using this tool, you can recover emails, folders, tasks, journals, notes and all other mailbox items completely.
Take Home Point: OST data loss can happen with you. To help you troubleshoot the data inaccessibility problems, SysTools OST Recovery tool is a great option.

Differences between Oracle 10g and Sequel Server 2000?
1) Firstly, is Sequel Server 2000 a similar term as Microsoft SQL Server 2000?
I did many searches on it but the results turn out to be "SQL Server" mainly....
2) If yes, how are both programs different in terms of SQL syntax?
3) and the use of sub-queries, sequences and views....?
4) Currently this web site we're upgrading on runs on Sequel Server 2000, I would like to know if it will be supported in other type of databases? (if we're to change)
Any help would be appreciated, thanks ^^
I happen to specialize in database development and design.
SQL Server is the correct name. My guess is that "Sequel" is someone spelling what they heard someone say. SQL stands for Structured Query Language and is often pronounced "sequel".
SQL Server supports sub queries and views. It doesn't support sequences (like Oracle), but instead uses auto increment columns. MySQL, Derby, Access, and others also support auto incrementing columns instead of sequences. If I remember correctly, you use a type "COUNTER" (as does MS Access) i.e.:
CREATE TABLE mytable (id COUNTER PRIMARY KEY)
The syntax of the SQL in SQL Server is similar to other DBMSs like Oracle, MySQL, Derby, etc. There are some differences, mainly in the data types. This is where you'll just have to check manuals. For example, some DBMSs might allow type INT instead of INTEGER, etc. This mainly effects CREATE TABLE statements. The good thing is that SELECT, INSERT, and UPDATE statements vary the least. Since they are the type of statements you'll use the most, this is good.
Bottom line is that as long as you try to keep to the basic stuff (avoid DBMS specific code if possible), you shouldn't have too much trouble swapping out DBMSs later.
Hope this is helpful,
Jeff

The Multifaceted Advantages of SharePoint 2010 Search Capabilities
SharePoint 2010 includes many components that help increase your efficiency as a developer. The SharePoint platform includes many built-in Web Parts that you can include in your solution, and provides many more components that you can use in Web Parts that you develop. SharePoint 2010 is a major step forward as a development platform, not only because of the rich set of features the platform supports, but also because significant investments have been made in the suite of tools designed to make the development process more productive and more accessible to developers of all skill levels. SharePoint 2010 has a number of remarkable capabilities. First, SharePoint makes it easier to create sites for all of your business needs. You can not only create a site for internet customers, but intranet sites for your own employees, partners, or clients. This service is best for people who are uncomfortable with web development and would like a consistent backend throughout all sites. This makes it easier for an IT team to train regular employees and maintain the sites overall.
SharePoint also lives up to its name by allowing all employees access to the important data they need to make sales proposals, development choices, and important decisions. SharePoint Insights allows employees to share important files with one another so entire teams have access to results. The system is flexible, so it's easy to create users and groups to modify permissions and access to certain documents. It also uses familiar interfaces so there will never be any difficulties involved in uploading, modifying, and understanding important data. With SharePoint 2010 composites, you can escape the need for tedious programming because the technology enables you to create applications and develop business solutions without the need for code. Save your IT team's expertise for more important projects as you seamlessly share Access databases and Excel spreadsheets with the necessary recipients. One of the most important aspects that come with the use of SharePoint 2010 is its applications in enterprise search. Every day, enterprises store and access a tremendous volume of data critical to its business processes, such as client information, statistical data, and more. Yet the availability of all this is practically useless without the ability to efficiently access relevant information at a moment's notice.
At the base level of a company's operations, improved search capabilities can improve employee productivity, not only cutting costs but allowing employees to submit better work, faster. The conversational and intuitive enterprise search system utilized by the SharePoint 2010 Microsoft Search Server can enhance information sharing throughout an organization, encouraging closer collaboration. When employees get better answers from other sources within an organization, they are better able to align themselves with the goals of that organization. For end users of a company's products or services, intuitive search results can give the impression that the company truly understands the client's needs and preferences. Agreeable interactions with clients add perceived value to products and services. Combined with compelling content, a powerful search engine experience can keep clients glued to a site, resulting in more page views and higher conversion rates. The search capabilities of SharePoint 2010 can provide a deeper understanding of all options available, which will undoubtedly allow them to manage and use information efficiently, improving their ability to make high-impact and critical decisions.
