PC Health Advisor's Free Optimization and Disk Management Tools

PC Health Advisor, a product from ParetoLogic Software, comes in a free trial version as well as a paid, fully featured version. The free trial version offers a number of incredibly useful tools including a startup items manager, process manager, Windows optimization panel, browser object manager, restore point manager, duplicate file manager, and disk defragmentation tool. If you're looking for a better way to manage your computer and improve performance, consider the free trial version of PC Health Advisor. If you'd like to take advantage of the automatic repairs, consider upgrading to the fully featured version. In the meantime, you can download PC Health Advisor and easily manage and maintain Windows.

Using the tools found in PC Health Advisor's trial version is a simple matter of point and click. Want to see what programs are launching when you boot up Windows? Simply click the Startup Manager. While your Windows computer comes with a "System Configuration" utility that allows you to manage your startup items, it is not nearly as intuitive or as easy to use as this button. The same is true of each of PC Health Advisor's tools.

Unlike Microsoft Windows, PC Health Advisor groups these computer maintenance tools into one place. Simply click the button for the task you want to complete and everything you need immediately appears. Detailed information is provided about processes, browser objects, startup items, restore points, and other tasks so that you can make an informed decision before proceeding.

PC Health Advisor also contains tools for improving computer performance including its Windows Optimization tool and Disk Management tool. The Windows Optimization tool provides you with a checklist of items that could be interfering with your computer's performance. Simply remove the checkmarks to disable power-hungry, yet unnecessary, options and improve your computer's performance. The Disk tab provides you with the easiest way to quickly remove temporary and history files as well as a disk defragmenting option. Again, similar tools are built into Windows; however, those tools are tough to find and less intuitive than the simple "click a button" options offered in PC Health Advisor.

If you want more control over your computer's performance, you'll want to check out the free trial version of PC Health Advisor. With common tools neatly bundled into a user-friendly interface, PC Health Advisor makes it easy for novice computer users to quickly optimize and maintain their computers. For even greater control and automatic fixes, consider upgrading the trial version to the full featured version.

How come i cant use Disk Drefrag?

For some reason, i cant use any "Microsoft management console" stuff. Everytime i try to open administrative tools like Disk Defrag or Performance, i get an error window that syas, "MMC cannot open file C:WINDOWSsystem32dfrg.msc.

This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file."

this has never happened before. What can i do to use disk defrag? any help would be appreciated. Thank You

Is your Windows legitimate? If you are not sure, you can check it out here:

You say you try to open "administrative tools." In my version of Windows Disk Cleanup,Scandisk, and defrag are in:
Start
Programs
Accessories
System Tools

You may have to uninstall Windows and reinstall. Be sure to copy your files to a backup CD, flashdrive, or external hard drive first.

Using Diskpart On Dynamic Disks May Cause Data Loss

In Microsoft Windows operating system, you can create, remove, or extend hard drive partitions using Diskpart tool. It is a powerful command-line utility that is extremely useful for Windows users. Diskpart (Disk Partition Utility) is a part of Windows Recovery Console that works as disk management tool. However, in case you use this tool on a dynamic disk, it may cause severe drive damage and grave data loss. In such circumstances, you are required to use Hard Drive Recovery Software to get your valuable data recovered.

The Diskpart utility is different from several command-line tools as it doesn't operate in a single-line mode. In place, after starting the tool, it reads commands from standard I/O (Input/Output). These commands can be directed to any hard drive, volume, or partition. The utility enables a superset of actions, which are supported by Disk Management snap-in. You are advised to use this tool cautiously as it allows explicit control of the volumes and partitions.

The Diskpart utility includes a number of parameters or options, which are used to perform specific operations on your hard drive. These options include:

  • /add- Create new partition on your hard drive.

  • /delete- Remove any existing hard drive partition.

You need to specify the below arguments while using this tool:

  • device_name- A device name to create new partition. Name can be taken from output of MAP command.

  • drive_name- The drive-letter based label to delete an existing hard drive partition.

  • partition_name- Name of the partition to delete existing hard drive partition. You can use it in place of the drive_name argument.

  • size- specify the size of new hard drive partition in MB (megabytes).

You should use this command very carefully on your Windows hard drive. It may damage the partition table and cause severe data loss if your hard drive is upgraded from a basic disk to dynamic disk. You should not alter the structure of the dynamic disk unless you use the Disk Management snap-in.

In case of data loss, Hard Drive Data Recovery becomes essential to safeguard your valuable data and business. It is the process of retrieving lost, missing, and inaccessible data using third-party Hard Drive Recovery tools.

The applications are capable of thoroughly scanning the Windows hard drive using efficient scanning methods and retrieving lost data. They Recover Hard Drive data in a quick, safe, and easy way.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is the most widely used application for assured and absolute recovery of lost data. The software supports recovery from NTFS5, NTFS, FAT32, VFAT, FAT16, and FAT12 file system partitions. It works well with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000.
