Microsoft Office, The Sims 2 and The Sims 2 University all on a DELL Inspiron 1100?
I want to be able to have Microsoft Office, The Sims 2 and The Sims 2 University. The specs are:
30 GB Hard Drive
2.3 GHz Celeron
256 MB of RAM
I was thinking about buying 512 MB of Ram so that would be 768 MB of Ram. Would i be able to hold all of this with or without the extra RAM? Also is 2.3 GHz Celeron enough for all this?
Ehh, you'll be right on the edge. Also, the amount of video RAM is important too. Do you have at least 32 MB on there?

Product Review: Microsoft Office 2007 vs. OpenOffice 3
What are the benefits of upgrading to Microsoft Office 2007 from Office 2003?
As a student, I can get a full copy of Microsoft office Professional at a bulk university / student price of $79.00. having been a techie for nearly 20 years and seeing a great deal here, I ask, is it worth the upgrade? What are the benefits over Office 2003 which I currently use. Any shortcomings?
I attend a school that is basically Microsoft based so an open office production is really out of the question...
Aside from backward compatibility issues and possible resource problems, do the Office 2007 products have benefits orver office 2003?
I would recommend to keep 2003. If you get 2007 it uses a lot of resources plus people who want to view your word document on a 2003 version you must pre-convert it to Word 97-2003. I personally don't like Microsoft Office anymore and recommend Openoffice. Its a opensource program which means it FREE!
